Thanks to the new host a culinary enrichment and thanks to Babsi an absolute highlight for the Partenkirchen district and many kilometers in the vicinity!
Very good food, Bavarian ambience. I can only recommend it.
Wonderful accommodation in the middle of the historical part of Partenkirchen. The dining room invites you to a cozy traditional Bavarian evening, while the guest rooms on the upper floors offer excellent accommodation. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The communal toilets and bathrooms are also very large and extremely clean. We had a really great time there and felt very comfortable. The staff is also super friendly and courteous and the breakfast offers everything your heart desires. We are really very satisfied with everything and can definitely recommend this accommodation.
The stay at the Werdenfelser Hof was just perfect. We had a room without our own bathroom. The bathroom (2 showers and 2 toilets) were very clean and spacious. The room was also large and clean. A sink is available in the room. The breakfast was outstanding as was the service. Price / performance 100%!
The food was absolutely authentic and the price was right. Nice, here a small live band that of course provides extra flair. Overall, highly recommended.
Food was good, but too loud for our taste (live music etc.) and not really cozy. Most guests will like it just as much.
Very nice staff. Good portions and, most importantly, very, very tasty. + Bavarian music + Schuhplattler, great holiday evening. Always my pleasure
The room was bright, comfortably furnished and, above all, very well maintained. The staff was very warm and the breakfast was superb.
Would love to give zero stars. Had asked a friend if we could have a table for two. After a waitress quickly sat us down at the table, nothing came for half an hour. No card, no demand, make drinks, nothing. In the end, even people who came shortly after us received a menu and demand for drinks. Then we just left because we weren't noticed.
I can't understand the negative reviews from some guests. We are dealing with a quaint Bavarian inn, which in my opinion is the best in Partenkirchen. The Augustiner brewery goulash with lemon cream is a dream, with bread dumplings that appear handmade and do not come from the frozen food or bag like in some other restaurants in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The fried chicken is loosened from the bone with a lot of love, baked and served with a good potato salad. DER KAISERSCHMARRN surpasses everything again, perfect consistency, caramelized and served with refined, seasoned berries. In addition, a nice service and the typical Bavaria feeling. That is what matters and not whether the Corona rules are adhered to, I admit that it can still be worked on, but I am sure that it will also be organized, in any case I never felt unsafe. I hope you keep up the good work and don't fall into the monotony of some of your competitors in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
The food is delicious. The service is very inattentive, you wait forever before you can order. When the waitress is at the table, they are very nice and friendly. But the waiting time is completely inappropriate. So unfortunately only 3 stars.
Werdenfelser Hof is in the perfect location if you want to get to Zugspitze or Alpspitze. Busses to both of them stop near by. The restaurant of the hotel has some of the best food we've ever enjoyed and the prices are fair.
We stopped in the restaurant spontaneously. Directly at the entrance there was no sign where you should wait to assign tables in the event of existing corona measures. When we asked a waitress, they said we should look for something in the back area. The food and beers came relatively quickly. The schnitzel with french fries was good in terms of size, and I would rate the quality in school grades from 3 to 3+. But what didn't work at all and what makes the entire assessment ineffective is the organization there. The corona measures are not really taken seriously and there doesn't seem to be any structure in the workforce. We had to wait a full 20 minutes to be able to pay because the card reader was supposedly always on the move. An impudence. We will definitely not be eating there anymore.
Dinner for two. We ate the onion roast and a snack board. The onion roast was good, although the meat was very thin and too well done, too little sauce. The snack board was bad! Sausage and cheese like from the breakfast buffet, plus two old rolls and two pieces of butter. The most loveless snack board in all of Bavaria. Service was good but couldn't make up for disappointment with the food. On request: the snack board is always made like this ... very disappointing. Price for everything together with three beers: 50 euros! Too much
On vacation, let yourself be stressed by the wait staff, you have to hurry, otherwise there is nothing left (8:53 p.m. after sitting there for 20 minutes without paying any attention) then let the menu slip out of your hand. Bread dumplings that weren't right through and a knuckle that was from a piglet. Sorry, I don't feel like wasting my time on my vacation! But it has to be said that the soups were good!
Thanks to the new landlords, it is cozy and nice again. The food is also delicious again. The music is casual and great.
Food and drinks good. Corona rules are implemented differently and freely interpreted by each operator. Mouthguards are worn in all variations, under the chin, under the nose and sometimes completely right. Guests can move around the restaurant without a face mask as they please. It's a shame that some employers didn't get it. Other restaurants can do it too. Very exemplary is e.g. the Mohrenplatz tavern.
Love it!!!
Hotel restaurant serves tasty deserts. However we had tomoto soup which was yummy.
Looking for authentic Bavarian food and we scored! Not only was the ambiance nice but they even had a band with an accordion. Wife had the leek soup and venison goulash. I had the Pork with potatoes and beer sauce along with a side of kraut ? delicious! Micheal the waiter who was very nice, delivered promptly! They topped the expectations with meeting Barbara "Top chef" followed with a senior gentleman delivering Augustiner Trophen shots! Wonderful time with our local friends and Mother-In-Law, Ingrid! WILL BE BACK?!
Poor service, waited over 30 minutes for food even though the restaurant was virtually empty. Taste was just about ok, hence two stars.
LOCKED IN THE HOTEL! This was the worst stay of my life. We arrived and one of the workers didn't speak English so instead of getting someone else she just avoided us. We eventually were helped and given our room key. There is no air conditioning so you will sweat and not get a good nights sleep. It is also very loud. If you go to bed early you will have a hard time because you can hear every plate and spoon being set down. Finally on our departure we were not told that you needed a key to get out of the building for the very front door. This is also a fire hazard as you need keys to get through multiple doors to exit. We sat in the lobby for hours early in the morning locked in a small room. There was no contact or emergency number. You could only hear the kitchen phone ringing when we called. I would not recommend ever staying here.
Base clean.
Good food large portions
Realized dream.???
I stopped here for dinner I order steak OX it’s very delicious ? They have indoor and outdoor tables It get crowded, the services is fast and people are friendly.
RESTAURANT. All perfect. Great food. Good beer and friendly service
Absolutely amazing, high quality food! Friendly staff, traditional presentation. Highly recommended. ❤Bavaria❤
Went there for the food. So cute a place. Nice vibe.
Cozy atmosphere. Very tasty beer. Prices are acceptable. They took Familienplatte for 29.90 calculated for 2 adults and a child - not finished. It is very huge, you can safely take on 4 adults.
This rating is for the guesthouse - we did not eat at the restaurant. It started badly since there was no signage as to where to check in. No one we spoke to had time to talk to us properly. The lady who checked us in was not friendly at all. Honestly, it seems like she did not want to do that job. The room was ok, as in it seems clean. However, the bathroom emits a mild smell of urine. And the smell from the kitchen below wafted in when we opened the only window. The night was of restless sleep, since the duvet was making us itchy, probably because of the detergent used on it. The most off putting of the entire experience is the sour attitude of the lady who checked us in. We have to pay good money to stay, but it was made really unpleasant and felt like that we were bothering her instead of being welcomed as paying guests. We had booked two nights but only stayed for one. And when we were checking out, the staff (the sour lady and her coworker) wondered between themselves, in German, why we were leaving but never even bothered to ask us. Obviously improvement of customer satisfaction is not one of their targets. Very poor experience indeed. I do not recommend to stay here.
Excellent food and staff
Very nice Bavarian restaurant in the centre of Partenkirchen (we've been only to the restaurant, can't judge the hotel rooms)
This place was wonderful!!! Great service and VERY good food. The staff was very attentive and our food was so good we ate everything which is not normally what we do. This was our first time at this restaurant and to Germany. We recommend this restaurant you won't be disappointed. Michaela was very friendly and answered our questions regarding our food choices.
TOP
Nice atmosphere, tasty bavarian meals
Food ok. Dancing and music ok. Service a bit rubbish. Lots of walking up and down avoiding eye contact. Eventually left to to get beer and sweet elsewhere. Wasn't awesome!
A couple of kids (less than 12 years old) performed a few dances. Food was ok. Hosts were great.
Nice place, must go
The food was fantastic, second only to the awesome staff!
Good traditional food, great atmosphere. We had a large group (80 people) and they took good care of us for dinner. Definitely coming back here with friends!
Amazing food, great staff and atmosphere. Big menu selection, 6 or so veggie options, good range of beers! Best place we ate in Garmisch!!
This restaurant was recommended by a friend...and what a good thing that I listened to him! The environment is a typical Bavarian Style restaurant - quaint and wooden. The menu is good and the portions are huge! If you are a meat eater (pork) come here and leave satisfied. I had the Schweins Haxe and it was fabulous. However, the nicest thing about this place is that it has live music...a man on an accordion playing...and to top it off some Bayerische Folk Dancing. I was eating and two young men from a local Dance Club (Tanzverein) showed up and entertained us...it was a pleasant surprise and I liked it. So...if you want good food, lots of it...entertainment....then eat here! You won't be disappointed.
Awesome restaurant-I would give it more stars if I could. I ate there on two recent evenings based on a friend's recommendation. In both cases everyone at the table (12 total people) raved about their food. Service was great and they had live music and traditional dancers, I would definitely recommend.
Stairs only. no body soap such. no Wifi. Breakfast is only bread and ham and cheese and yogurt. Just go to bed. It can not be expected...
Our room here was perfectly nice, not fancy but very comfortable, had a separate room with bunks for the kids. Awesome location in a quiet part of town. Restaurant was also very good, nothing fancy just delicious. Live music too. Everyone on the staff was also extremely nice and helpful. Overall a really nice place to crash and eat.
Really good food, big portions, fair price, cozy atmosphere, friendly service.
Incredible food in huge portions at extremely reasonable prices. Their homemade sauerkraut is the best I've ever had!
